"Dude I Could Probably Play Lacrosse": Gronk Continues His Transition Into The World's Biggest Lax Bro

Just a few weeks ago we saw Gronk ripping it up with a lax stick on the beach with Camille Kostek. We figured that maybe someone else had just brought a twig to the beach and Gronk decided to give it a go. But as it turns out, Rob Gronkowski has turned into the biggest lax rat on the planet since retiring from the NFL. So much so that I think the future for Gronk is the Sport of the Future.

Everybody was put on this planet for a purpose. Unfortunately for Rob Gronkowski, he mistakenly thought that football was his purpose for most of his life. And sure, he had a pretty successful career in football. He’ll go down as the best tight end of all time, 3x Super Bowl champ, 5x Pro Bowler, millions and millions of dollars. Gronk was great at football and football was great to Gronk. But now that he retired? Now that he finally put that behind him? Well now he has the freedom to pursue his one true purpose in life that has always been there waiting for him–lax.

Don’t get me wrong. The man still has a lot he needs to work on with his game. This isn’t football where all you need to do is just be bigger than everyone and . catch a few balls. There’s a skillset in lacrosse that doesn’t come naturally to most. His stick skills look okay but he’s definitely going to need to work on his stick protection out there. You try pulling some of those moves against world class defenders like Brodie Merrill, Kyle Hartzell, and Garrett Epple? Buddy,,,,that’s like hand delivering some fresh baked cookies to the Cookie Monster. But the athleticism is there and that’s a great place to start. The PLL regular season just wrapped up. We’ve got 278 days until next year’s PLL season gets going. I think that should be enough time for Gronk to learn to stop bringing the stick in front of his face. Could be worth taking a shot at in the 3rd or 4th round of the draft.
